In my years as a hospice volunteer and then as a chaplain I've been fortunate to meet so many remarkable people. I will tell you that when I began this work back in the 1990's I could not have imagined how much my world view would change thanks to what people shared with me and what I witnessed. As a human being I am comforted by what I have learned. Having stepped down from my role with Hospice I felt it my responsibility to share some of this. At this time in my life I do not consider myself retired but rather repurposed. If some of what I share helps to ease someones sadness, fear or anxiety then so much the better….
