"Theodore" was done in collaboration with my musical partner, very good friend and former bandmate, Bob. I guess you could say it was our version of a "concept album". So, what's the concept you may ask? A middle aged man, Theodore, has been an outsider and socially awkward most of his life. He lives vicariously thru watching TV. In particular OLD TV - shows from the 1950's and 60's. This is the lens thru which he views much of the world. Eventually he begins to imagine himself as a character in these shows and as he does this his grasp on reality, which has never been very good, begins to unwind even further. The album traces this process, sometimes in a comical, tongue-in-cheek way and at other times in a sad or frightening, more heartbreaking way. But it also speaks to the ability of the human spirit to find meaning as well as ways to make sense in a world that often doesn't.
Making this album was the culmination of a dream of ours that began many years earlier.
